Maybe you’ve just written your first script and you’re wondering what’s next.  Maybe you’ve written several scripts and just aren’t sure what your next steps should be.  Maybe you’re looking to make a big push towards getting your first rep.  Or maybe you’re wondering what fellowships and industry programs might be the best fit for you and your career goals.

Whatever advice you’re looking for to push your writing or filmmaking career to the next level, this 1 hour one-on-one strategy call can help you narrow in on your specific goals and the steps to take to get there.

Examples of possible topics include (but aren’t limited to):

  • What should I be doing to find representation?  And how to find the right representation for me?
  • What should my competition strategy with my screenplays be for my current stage of my writing career?
  • What fellowships, labs, mentorships, and writing programs make sense for me and my current goals?
  • Help with applications for fellowships, labs, etc.
  • How do I build a successful strategy for my crowdfunding campaign?

One you’ve purchased your session, you will receive a form to book a specific time slot and to answer some initial questions to give Goldie some context on what exactly your are looking for advice on.

 

Instructor Bio:

Goldie Jones is a non-binary writer/director repped by Heroes & Villains Entertainment and a serial entrepreneur with 20+ years in marketing and commercial production as an editor, animator, DP, director, and creative director.

They’re a Universal Writers Program Finalist, Stowe Launch Fellow, and WIF Mentee in the Director’s Circle.  She’s won over 100 accolades as a writer/director including 2nd place at Slamdance and Cinequest, Second Rounder for the 2023 and 2025 Sundance Development Track and the Lynn Shelton “Of a Certain Age” Grant, Top 5% for The Writers Lab 2023, and Top 5 finalist for production grants from WIF and ISA.  

Her short film “I’m Sorry, I Tried, I Love You”, starring Finnerty Steeves of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, was a Hollyshorts Screenplay Competition Finalist, winner of the WIF Seattle Professional Grant and premiered at Dance with Films.
